The Gas House Gang are my favorite quartet. They all have amazing voices, they sing most of my favorite barbershop arrangements, and they are so much fun to watch, it almost makes you cry they are just that good. They won in 1993 and since then have been one of the most popular quartets around. Kipp Buchner, their tenor, actually had already won a gold medal in 1987 with his first quartet, interstate rivals. This quartet was with lead, Joe Connely (keepsake, '94, Platinum, '00), Bari, Paul Gilman (Marquis, '95), and Bass, Jay Hawkins (Marquis, '95)
On February third my father held a harmony school in Montreal, and we had the goodfortune of having GHG as a guest quartet. After two years of waiting since Harmony College I finally got to sing "mudic of the night" with them. It was so wonderful. I can't wait 'till I see them next time, I can do the vocal percussion to "Go tell it on the mountain".
